CFTC 2017 Beneficiary - lillIAN armbruster (LIL' BUG)

LILLY ARMBRUSTER

“She shows us how to look forward to living every day with courage, hope, and love. “
— Lilly's Parents

We are blessed and honored to announce this year’s CFTC 2017 Beneficiary - beautiful Lilly Armbruster and her family.

Beautiful 4 year old, Lillian Armbruster, has spent more than half of her life fighting a very rare form of pediatric cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. This is a type of tumor that is normally found in teenage children, and is an aggressive form of cancer that affects the soft tissue.   In a little over 2 years, Lilly has battled this cancer 3 times with cancerous tumors forming in the left eye orbit (twice) and left side of Lilly’s face.

Lilly’s parents were told her case was a one in a million and very aggressive.  After 3 biopsies, 14 MRIs, 8 CT scans of the chest, having to be sedated over 100 times for surgeries, proton radiation, and scans, 58 weeks of chemo, 81 radiation treatments, and 15 hospital admissions, Lilly’s parents are reminded everyday how truly rare and incredibly special Lilly really is.  Kids Lilly’s age don’t get this rare cancer. They don’t beat this cancer. They certainly don’t do it three times. Sometimes this is forgotten because of just how easy Lilly makes it all look.  She defies all odds.  Her future consists of a long and overwhelming list of side effects, on top of the constant worry of a recurrence, yet Lilly shows us how to look forward to living every day with courage, hope, and love.

The ‘Caddy For The Cure’ is blessed to have little Lilly Armbruster as our CFTC 2017 Beneficiary and we are honored to be a small part in Lilly’s life.  We ask the Caddy family for your support, participation, and prayers in honoring little Lilly at CFTC 2017 !!  We are 100% in Lil Bug’s corner!!!
